I am not by any means a pro in the kitchen, but I really do enjoy cooking. One of my favorite things to do is stay in and cook something delicious (this falls under any meal of the day). My boyfriend always surprises me with all of his great ideas in the kitchen. I, of course, end up a very full, spoiled girl most of the time. So, the good girlfriend that I am, I try and repay all his hard work with a good meal or two of my own. Recently, I have chosen to master the most important meal of the day.
On the weekends, I love to start the day with something delicious. Believe it or not, doing this is one of my biggest challenges. Why? Well, because Brian is allergic to egg whites and so many breakfast meals involve an entire egg of some sort. Trust me, I am always up for a challenge, but a lot of the time I strike out because I end up making breakfast that turns out resembling some sort of really sweet desert or a meaty mess.
Turns out, I think I mastered a great go-to weekend breakfast. Thanks to Giada De Laurentiis, one of my favorite Food Network Chefs, I put together one of the most satisfying, tasty breakfasts. I whipped up her Breakfast Pizza recipe and it is so fun to make, I recommend it to anyone, allergies or not.
