I did it. My first ever DIY-project. To be honest, I experienced a new found love.
As you know from this post, I am redoing my living space and thanks to the lovely help from Caitlin of Reverie to Reality it is turning out fabulous (I can’t wait to show you). Caitlin pointed out in her review that I have a lot of dark pieces and my space overall needed some lightening up. I couldn’t have agreed more. So I looked around my place to see what I could do other than get all new furniture, which would have been exhilarating, but not in my budget or Caitlin’s plan.
I focused in on this lamp. I have always loved it and knew I wasn’t ready to part with it, so I thought it would be an easy first project. I was right and I couldn’t be happier; I think it turned out perfect. All I needed was some spray paint, a tarp, standard tools to unscrew the lamp, and a new lampshade.
EASY + CHEAP= SUCCESS
Tip: when I bought the spray paint, I picked up the kind that covers metal, wood and plastic with 2x the coverage. It worked perfect.
If you have any DIY projects that are easy and cheap, I would love to hear about them! Thanks for stopping by. xx Jen
