Summer is in full swing and I know the majority of us are trying to eat as healthy as we can. I’ve never been into eating things without flavor, so you can count me out of the eating-things-that-taste-like-cardboard club. If you are a food person like me, you probably feel the same way. As of late, I’ve been trying to find recipes that are full of flavor and give my body what it needs at the same time. I found this amazing hummus and homemade pita chip recipe here, and after making it I felt I had to share it. You will love how this tastes, it’s super simple, healthy, and after you take your first bite, you will feel pretty darn accomplished (at least I did). This makes a great appetizer, snack, spread or even lunch. I feel like life is all about balance, especially when it comes to food and staying healthy, so that’s what I am focusing on this summer. I think if you can throw in a healthy, yummy snack like this into your day or party, you have permission to indulge in other things.
