Today I wanted to share all the tools that Brian and I use weekly in the kitchen. Keep in mind these are just the necessities. I will share some fun stuff in another post for those not so necessary, but fun tools to have around. Maybe you are just moving in with your boyfriend, or you just got engaged and now you are trying to figure out what the heck you guys will need to start a workable kitchen.

Wherever you are in your journey as a couple, I promise these items will change how you cook meals together. Brian and I moved in a few years before we got married, so by the time our wedding came around we kind of had everything we needed. With that being said, we didn’t actually register for anything, we started a nest egg fund where family and friends could contribute to our future together.

Some of our absolute favorite items above are the nice big cutting board, the global knives (we use both daily). And the citrus juicer…if there could be a Bentley for citrus juicers, this would be it. It is so easy to use and it is a synch to clean up. We juice lemons, limes and oranges a lot in this house! We also received these pots and pans as a gift a few years ago and they are a great price and really good quality. They have lasted a long time now. And apposed to salt and pepper shakers, we kind of dig using the double decker salt pig. It is nice to have everything in one place and it makes it easier to control how much you use when you season stuff.

I hope this helps you and please let me know if you have any questions on the items above! Also, what are the essential tools in your kitchen?
