I tried this very easy hairdo last week after I saw it on Pinterest. I received a few compliments from strangers on the street, so I thought I needed to share how it’s done. And the best part…all you need is a headband!
If your hair is a little greasy, dry shampoo is great to use, and if you are having a frizzy hair day, spritzing with hairspray at the end will help keep those fly-aways at bay.
Below is how to get it done in no time flat!
Step One: Set your part how you prefer and place your headband around your head. And don’t worry if you get a little pouf in the back, you can tame it at the end.
Step Two: Grab a pinch of hair around your face and loop it around your headband. Almost like you are wrapping a ribbon around a pen.
To move onto the next step, grab another pinch of hair.
Step Three: Combine the pinches of hair together and loop it around the headband again.
Step Four: Continue Step Three on both sides of your head until there is nothing left other than a bunch of hair at the base of your head. See picture below.
Step Five: Gather all the loose hair and tuck it into the base of the headband. Run your fingers along where you tucked it into the band to be sure you don’t have any random hairs poking out. If you do, just shove them back in.
Don’t over think it as you are doing this. It’s okay if it is a little messy when you start. Because at the end you can just tuck and position the hair how you want.
p.s. If you wear this for a couple hours and take it out, you will have some pretty fabulous curls on your hands. Kind of like two hairdos in one!
