I recently picked up two sizes of mason jars and quickly found they’re the best purchase I have made in a long time. Not only were they inexpensive, but also they’ve been incredibly versatile. You can use them to serve drinks/cocktails, store snacks, use as a vase, and they make pretty nifty storage compartments. So I can proudly say, I love them and you should get some too (if you don’t have them already).
Our first fun project was making our own lemon preserve. This stuff is pretty expensive in the stores, but oddly it’s incredibly easy to make. AND if you already have a mason jar (like I did), it’s a no-brainer, make some! Here is the recipe we used (thanks, Ina!).
