My Last Few Weeks As A Single Lady

I had an amazing bachelorette weekend. It was simple, sweet and incredibly relaxing—and it really couldn’t have been more perfect for me.

I’ve never been a wild child, or much of a party animal. I’ve always been happiest in smaller crowds, or small, more intimate gatherings at home with cocktails, snacks or at yummy restaurants. I don’t have a ton of girlfriends, but rather a few close and special people in my life.

So no, my bachelorette weekend wasn’t in Vegas, and I wasn’t out bar hopping making wild stories for us to chat about the next day.

We actually did the complete opposite to celebrate my last few weeks as a single lady! My cousin and I went to an unbelievably pretty resort here in Washington called Salish Lodge. We kicked the weekend off having snacks and a few drinks chatting and laughing at the resort bar overlooking the unbelievable Snoqualmie falls that the resort is set on top of.

We watched the morning fog part and a rainbow appear.

After lots of catching up, we decided to take a hike. We headed to a trail called Twin Falls about 15 minutes from the resort. It was breathtaking. We hiked to the top where the falls met and took in all the breathtaking scenery.

That night we had a moonlight massage in a room that was perched above the falls. So during our massage all we could hear was the rushing water while we relaxed.

The next morning we actually went back to the same room where we had the massage the night before and had a yoga session overlooking the falls.

And after the rejuvenating yoga workout we had a big appetite, and I had one of my favorite breakfasts to-date. We ate at the lodge restaurant and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It was a smoked salmon skillet with goat cheese and topped with perfectly poached eggs

It was a weekend I’ll always remember. I can’t wait to go back…maybe even make it a tradition!
