The Price We Pay For Beauty

When I was a tween, I was all about trying a bunch of lotions, body washes, face washes, lotions and yes, I had makeup galore. We all read magazines and we never know if the products they recommend actually work. As I have gotten older, I have tried to cut back on the abundance of products that eventually build up under the sink, and I focus on a few quality products that actually work. Here are the face, body and makeup products that I would recommend to every single girl I could.

Face Products

  1. Clarisonic Mia: Helps minimize my breakouts and my skin always feels so smooth after I use it. Also, after cleansing with the Mia my products work better.
  2. Burt’s Bees Herbal Blemish Stick: Amazing at removing red marks and clearing a blemish. I love this stuff.
  3. SPF 30 Coola Suncare Matte Finish in Cucumber: Great sunscreen that smells fantastic and helps keep shine away throughout the day.
  4. Advanced Night Repair—Estee Lauder: Feels great on my eyes and keeps me from looking puffy.
  5. DayWear—Estee Lauder: Smells great, is light on my skin and covers easily without having to use a lot of product.
  6. Spa Technologies Purifying Sea Clay Mask: This is a great brand, they have a lot of wonderful products. I use this mask to calm my skin if I start to see multiple breakouts or if my face starts to get red and irritated. It is the perfect reboot for my skin. I use it around twice a month.

body products

  1. Kai Body Polish: My all-time favorite body scrub. It is moisturizing without being creasy/oily, smells amazing and acts as the perfect exfoliant.
  2. Kai Body Wash: Also another favorite of mine. It smells great, leaves my skin feeling soft and clean (without any residue or dryness an hour later).

makeup products

  1. Anastasia Brow Kit: I have been blessed with thin, shapeless eyebrows. So I have always been perplexed on how to help them shape my face right. Simply filling them in has never worked for me. I visited the Anastasia solon in Beverly Hills and they helped me tremendously. I now use this fabulous brow kit to appropriately shape and fill in my brows.
  2. Time Balm Anti-wrinkle concealer: This is the best product I have used for covering up under eye circles and blemishes. It isn’t drying or gloppy and it covers and stays in place.
  3. Invisible Fluid Makeup—Estee Lauder: Sinks right into my skin for flawless coverage. I don’t feel like I have makeup on when I wear it. Love this stuff!
  4. Benefit They’re Real! Mascara: Helps my eyelashes stay in place without becoming flaky halfway through the day. Creates a nice full look and doesn’t smudge or budge.
