The Start and End to My Day

Start to my day. LDL

This past week I started my day with a yogurt parfait, pretty much every morning…

It consisted of frozen blueberries that I thawed in the microwave for 20 seconds, greek yogurt, chia seeds, and Kashi fiber cereal sprinkled on top for a little crunch. And on this particular morning I was hankering for something sweet, so I drizzled a little bit of honey on top.  Liliana joined me while I ate and she swung away in her MommaRoo next to me. I would take a few bites, and look up and she would be starring at me…and when our eyes would meet, she would smile so big–it made my heart melt. I told her that some day soon we get to eat breakfast together! I thought of just how lucky I am to have such a sweet baby girl to share these mornings with. And by the way, these smiles of hers lately have taken mommy-hood to an entirely new level.

Over the weekend a good friend of ours from Chicago stopped by to meet Liliana and to hang out a little bit. It was so nice to see a familiar face and the little one hammed it up for him. She also cried her best and loudest cry (sorry for that Tim). Brian was able to go out and see a concert on Saturday night, so that meant after the babe was sound a sleep I had a little “me” time. I caught up on that new Bravo TV show, “A Girlfriends Guide to Divorce” had my favorite candle burning, poured myself a glass of red wine and munched on my post pregnancy craving (Hershey’s chocolate bar with almonds).
